I don't understand why the media had to focus on the new first lady's attire yesterday. Not just the first lady, though, but also other females in the new president's family. Why? Why the need? Why the need to talk about stupid things like that on the news? Aren't there more important things to focus on and let the public know besides what the first lady is wearing? Bombs are going off all over the world, there's been a devastating earthquake in China, children are starving, etc., yet the Taiwanese media chose to focus on the first lady's dress?

OOOOO, she wore a skirt! Instead of her normal slacks! And it's a green skirt! Oh MY GOD. That's gotta go on the news. So shocking ...... =.= Oh, nevermind that there's violence in South Africa and people are fleeing or that another survivor had be found in China ... The first lady's dress is DEFINITELY more newsworthy.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY?!

And on further thought, why not focus on the men's clothing choices? He's the new president. His image is more important, I would say, than his wife who probably (hopefully) has no sway in public policy and international relations.

So why this focus on what she decided to wear to her husband's inauguration?! Someone want to explain to me the 無聊ness of the Taiwanese media? *Smacks forehead*

Ugh, sometimes, well, a lot of the times, the Taiwanese media baffles and annoys me.
