At around 5, my room was getting darker and darker because I hadn't turned on the light (lazy), and I realized there was a pinkish glow coming in. I look outside, and the color was absolutely gorgeous. So of course I took pictures. I didn't enhance or anything, that's just how the color really was. So so so beauuuutiful.
On another note, I am cold. I turned on the heater, but heat doesn't dissipate very well, it just stays localized to where the heater is. Ugh. I have half the mind to just sit right next to heater, except the floor is cold. I think I need to switch places with the printer. So the picture below is what I look like, in my own apartment (yup, hoodie and scarf). Sigh. And they say this is just the beginning of winter (*tears*). I just might turn into a popsicle.
There's really no point to this entry besides me ranting about how it's really cold. Ok fine, it's only 11 degrees celsius (or 52F), but it's still cold. It's only October! Why is it so cold already? Was Switzerland like this?! Why can't I remember?! AHHHHHHH. I'm not used to it getting cold until ... later.
And and and, not only is it cold, it's also rainy and dreary and depressing weather. When I attended the TSA meet, one of the girls was talking about winter blues. You really get winter blues here! Because the sun rises late and sets super early (like 4 pm ... wtf!), and there's not much sun. There's lots of gray clouds.
Aih. I am in trouble. I wish I could take SoCal weather with me where I go.
Oh, there's another point to this entry. I made a cute animated GIF (or so I think) that I'd like to share: clicky!. For a little explanation of it, visit here. :)
The end!
I love meat. I can't deny it. There's just something about steaks that make me drool when I think about it. Back during the summer when I was still in LA, my roomie used to make steaks at 10 pm and we'd pig out. They were SO good. Sometimes we'd have it with veggies, others with red wine; but either way, steaks are YUM. So imagine me, meat-lover that I am, having to give up any form of meat for the past four days. It's a record for me. But I did it! And today I had my first meal with meat (MUAHAHAHA!) and it was so so so good. The portion was tiny, but it was delicious, nonetheless. Nothing like being deprived of something to make you truly appreciate it more when you get it back. I took my time eating those few pieces; didn't want to inhale it without tasting like I normally do with my food. Ah, meat, how I love thee.
I sound like a freakin carnivore. But that's what I am ... well, I'm technically an omnivore, but I prefer meat (of the usual kind - chicken, beef, and pork) to veggies any day. Ask my mom. She's always having to make me eat my veggies and fruits. I know, I know, should have a balanced diet, but I just can't bring myself to eat less meat or more fruit/veggies. Hmmm. This week has been the most veggie/fruit consumption I've had since I stopped having access to my mom's cooking (that would be since I left home for college). Huh, is this why I have all these health problems? Boo.
Anyway, it's getting cooooold in Taipei. I can't stand cold that much ... a little bit of cold and I have to bundle up in furry warm jackets. I do like furry warm jackets, though. It's like a sense of comfort following me around wherever I go. Hah, that doesn't even make sense. As I sit here, my fingers are cold and stiff :( I hate that. I hate it when my extremities get cold. Someone should invent gloves that allow me type and keep my hands warm. Normal gloves just hamper your typing and things end up looking lioke tjhiosw (that was my attempt of typing badly ^^).

Work is busy busy ... barely have time to finish all my RSS feeds! Hohoho. Put up the sharing box on the right so all the fun stuff (I think) that I read I can share. Woot! Leopard's finally being released on Oct. 26th. Weeee! I can't wait. Well, I'll probably have to because I doubt it'll be released on that date here in Taiwan (we don't even have an Apple Store, just Apple Resellers, POO!) Well. I'll just have to wait and see ....
Anyway, the title is because I think I've caught a cold, again. I think I just got over my last cold two weeks ago and now I'm hit with another one. Damn weather turning cold and everyone getting sick .... Sigh. My head's all weird and my eyes are shrinking to near non-existence (considering how small my eyes are to begin with. Gah!). And my nose is runny and stuffed at the same time. Hate that feeling. >=(
There's this lady at work who's always so impeccably dressed. Very stylish, very fashionable, and I feel like she wears something different everyday. But I'm not very observant so who knows if she does. Just makes me wonder how much she spends on clothing and how big her closet is at home. She's not exactly young either, but guess she has a nice figure. Interesting. What makes one person dress so nicely everyday and other people dress so sloppily (me) everyday? Haha, I think I should start wearing things other than jeans and UCLA shirts. =P
Ahhhh!! I still feel like a little kid!! I feel like everyone else is older than me (they are, but not that much bah) and that they all know more than me. I don't know how to change my attitude so that I can stop feeling so incompetent and stupid.
I also shared an article about the Dalai Lama - I just thought there are some similarities between the plight of Tibet and the plight of Taiwan. The Dalai Lama says he wants autonomy for Tibet, not independence, but what exactly is the difference?
I'm actually surprised how Bush actually met with the Dalai Lama in the face of China's "furiosity." I thought Bush wouldn't do anything to piss of China, especially considering his stance on Taiwan and China's relationship. Lame. I wonder if he would meet with President Chen - most likely not. Why is it that he'll meet with the Dalai Lama, but not the Taiwanese president when both would cause the same reaction in China? It never made sense to me how the leader of a country that espouses democratic ideals and supports democracy can look away at the plight of another democratic country who just wants to be independent from a communist country. All for what?
