Neglected! I don't know. Lately it's been sunny and fantastic! Except, now that spring is here, so are flowers with pollen, which means allergies! This past weekend was especially bad to the point that I actually went to bed before 12 three days in a row. Holy! That hasn't happened in a long whiles, even with jet lag I try to sleep after 12. Ah well. Maybe it's a good thing. Today the nose is much better, and it's also not as sunny. Starting to see a sad correlation here. Nooooo ... I love sun and blue skies. Sigh.

Sad news, my aunt's doggie of 12 (?) years recently passed away. He was old and sick, but it's still sad. At least he should be suffering less, and as my sister and I put it, he's probably in perpetual humping heaven. :D He was always thwarted when he was with us. We'll miss you, little guy! Even your terror-dog ways, as was chronicled at the beginning of this blog.


Look at that angelic little face. How can he not be missed? Sigh. <3

On to happier news. After the loss of my beloved fujifilm, my dad's getting me a Nikon D40. Wahahaha. Well, the order's been placed, now just have to wait for it's arrival and for me to get to the States so I can play play play with it. So exciting!!! I hope I use it to it's full capability and not just use it as a point and shoot .... then that would be a waste of money.

Spring break's in about two weeks, and I'll be heading back to D.C. :D Cherry blossom? I hope I don't die of allergies there too. Aishhhhhh.

Mini-update on life so far. :)

I've noticed a pretty interesting thing here in Leuven. There's beer EVERYWHERE. In the student cafeterias they sell beer. Today at Mcdonalds I noticed they were selling beer too. Oh man, definitely a beer culture here. It's so normal to have beer being sold everywhere that they don't even blink an eye. Coming from the U.S., this openness to alcohol still takes some getting used to. Even in Taiwan where the drinking age isn't enforced (what is it anyway?), beer's still not as accessible as compared to Belgium (well, unless you count 7-11). And! The beer here is better. Mmmhmmm.

So. Any beer fanatics out there? You should apply to KUL. Just not the human sexuality program, ok? Ok!



On an unrelated note, I am dying of allergies. I went to the laundromat today to do laundry, and either that place has way too much dust or something, it's riled up my allergies like no tomorrow. Sigh. I think I've sneezed more than 20 times today. My brain is starting to leak out. Gross.

Speaking of laundromat, it was difficult understanding what needed to be done when everything was in Dutch. :( Thankfully there are nice peoples out there who are willing to help. Sigh. And the laundromat is a walk away. Sucks. And I used to think going from the second floor to the first floor to the laundry room in Gayley was a hassle. I shouldn't have complained back then. T~T And it's more expensive here too! Really shouldn't have complained about the prices back in the States. Hah. Washing and drying cost me 6.80 Euro (~9.45 USD ... holy mother). Definitely won't be doing laundry THAT often. Will have to start handwashing. Sigh. Why is life here so tough? Why?!

However, to get rid of the pain, I stuck these muscle relaxant or painkiller thingies on my neck for two nights in a row, and now I'm having an allergic reaction to them. !@#$$#@#!@# ... breaking out in hives and swelling and itchiness. Woe, I can't catch a break. So now I am itchy and sometimes the stabbing pain will return, so I itch and I ache. Why? Why me? :( Is it a sign for me to stop using the computer so much? But my life is my computer! How ... sad. BAH. This sucks.

Anyway, I bought The Game by Neil Strauss about his time spent with the different master pickup artists and his eventual becoming of a mPUA. Ok ok, I don't know why I bought it, but when I saw it I was like, COOL! I want to find out what the guys are learning to help them pickup girls when they could never do it before. And I have to admit, it's pretty interesting. If you don't think about how degrading it is to the women they're picking up and just read it for the story and the characters involved, it's pretty good. I enjoyed it thoroughly, and now if I ever run into a guy who's doing magic tricks or asking for advice about which cologne is better or just wearing really ridiculously flashy clothes I'll know that he's either read the book or actually went to one of the many seminars there apparently was for learning how to pickup girls.

Maybe one of these days I'll be able to organize my thoughts better about the book and write a decent entry about it. But for now, I'm still like, whoa, that's pretty awesome. :P
