Neglect.

I've pretty much been neglecting, not just the blog, but everything else in life (except work and food, of course) for the past two weeks due to this fantastic role-playing game, Maple Story that my cousin intro'd me to. I play the Taiwanese version as us foreigners aren't allowed to play on the US one. RAWR. It's a challenge trying to read all the Chinese when you're trying to do missions. It's an even bigger challenge when someone starts typing to you in Chinese while you're fighting some evil villain. Why? Because I type like 1 character per second minute (thanks picker!) when it comes to Chinese, and they keep "??" me because I'm attempting to fight while I type. So. Hard. Ridiculous. And when I type in English, they're like, I can't understand! Well, of course. Most of the people who play this rpg seem to be ... little kids who probably don't pay much attention in English class. UGH. Anyway, little rant.

Otherwise, it's a fun game. I'm a magician! And I'm cool because I get to throw fireballs and slash at little mushrooms (and big mushrooms and snails and green blobs and blue blobs and blue shrooms and pigs and pigs w/ bows... and many more; you get the point :P). The addictive part of the game is the leveling up. Every time you level up, you get stronger (duh). And, you get to buy cooler, more powerful gear which you can use to defend yourself or attack or make you magic stronger! Ok, I sound like a nerd. I'll stop now before it gets any worse. Play the game and you'll see why it's so cool/fun/addictive. :)

One last thing - I spent all last Sunday at home playing the game, only to get stuck in some freaking castle in the sky without the knowledge of how to get out. So I recreated a character and started from level 1. Painful. But at least I wasn't at like level 20 or something. I might've shot myself. This past weekend I got stuck in some dessert place, but thankfully I found a way out, which I could've done with the old character, but I just didn't think of it then. DUMB. At least now I know I can explore to my heart's content without worrying about getting stuck in places where one strike by the villain can kill you. :D

Ok, that's it. :) Yay gaming!
