I Tear Up Too Easily

Posted by Lisa in , ,

Wedding was last night. It was a nice wedding, with some awkward moments due to some gov't officials enjoying their alcohol a little too much, but overall it was sweet. And touching. I teared up when Grace was saying thanks to her parents for everything, and I saw her mom cry a bit. I was just like, AWWWWWWW. T~T but not really having tears come down because I had mascara on and did not want that to run. So! Self-control, YES!

As for the expected politicians/gov officials, the vp wasn't there, but the DPP Chairwoman showed up and also the minister of Economic Affairs. And I'm sure there were other ones, but I really don't know them by face. or name. Yaaaaaah.

Anyway, a picture is worth a thousand words, so picture time!

Reception was held at one of the World Trade buildings on the 33rd floor. The view outside was gorgeous, but I forgot to take a picture. There were like 20-some tables.

We (Grace's friends) got to sit at the second table! Right next to the main table! Right in front of the stage (kinda a little bit to the right, but good enough!). Closest I've ever been to the stage at a wedding :) Thanks Grace!

Wedding cake! Which, now that I think about it, we didn't get to eat. I guess it was just for the ceremonial cutting of the cake or something. Eh. Weird.

The happy couple - Grace and Ted

Parents of Grace, Grace, Ted, and Ted's mom - in laws!

So, there was this "event," I guess, where Grace had 12 friends go up to the stage. She was holding on to her bouquet along 12 red ropes. Only one of the 12 ropes was attached to the bouquet. So each of us had to grab a rope, and then Grace would let go, and the person holding on to the rope with the bouquet attached would get the bouquet - which mean, SHE'S NEXT! ... so, guess who got the bouquet?

MY SISTER!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. That was so funny. For me. I don't think she was very happy about it knowing that everyone's going to keep reminding her/making fun of her. :P

Alan, our friend, on the other hand, seemed to really like the bouquet ... HUMMMM .....

Awwww. *tear* :) It was a lovely wedding. *sigh* Now I wonder who'll be the next of us D.C. kids to get married ... HEEHEE. :P
